Zuri Faith

German Shepherd,   7   years old

Diagnosis: Urothelial Carcinoma with Tumor in Vulva

Treatment: Chemotherapy

I met Zuri Faith at an adoption event 7 years ago.  She wasn't supposed to be there, but I guess fate put us both at PetSmart that day. When she met my other dog, Aries, it was like they had always known each other and they quickly became inseparable. Over the years she has shown herself to be quirky, stubborn, super smart, and incredibly loving. Zuri just wants to be everyone/everything's best friend! She has assisted me in fostering over 40 dogs & cats; the kittens were her favorite fosters by far. She loves giving puppy kisses and getting cuddles & treats, but her favorite thing is to chase after her purple wubba toy - especially at the dog beach.  She is such a joy to be around and constantly inspires me with how loving she is after all she faced before I adopted her. Zuri just wants to love and live life to the fullest.

Zuri was diagnosed with a urothelial carcinoma with a tumor in her vulva, including a possible spread to the lumbar lymph nodes. Her prognosis was 6 – 18 months depending on her response to treatment and if the cancer spreads. Recommended treatment was 6 rounds of chemo and daily anti-inflammatory pills. Thanks to Lexi’s Legacy we were able to provide treatment for Zuri and extend her life with our family.
